Alpha gives everyone the chance to explore the Christian faith, ask questions and share their point of view.

Every evening begins with a meal together, then we watch a video exploring an area of faith, followed by a chance to chat, discuss or just listen to what others have to say.

There's no pressure and no cost, just a chance to explore life, faith and meaning.

To find out more about Alpha and get a taste of what it's all about, you can hear a range of people's stories here: Alpha

Our next Alpha begins on Wednesday 2nd May, from 7.30-9.30pm in All Saints Vicarage led by Tom and Emily Robson. Please click here to email for more information or to book a place, or phone - 01903 714838

What is Alpha?

Alpha is a series of 8 weeks exploring the Christian faith. This year we're running Alpha in two blocks of 4 wednesday evenings. You can come to the first, and then decide if you'd like to continue after a week's break.

Each week we look at a different question around faith and watch a video designed to spark conversation. There's time for any and every question and all points of view are welcome. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone's welcome. It runs in cafés, churches, universities, homes—you name it. No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: food, a talk and good conversation.

What happens at Alpha?

Food - Food has a way of bringing people together and so our sessions start with a meal as it's a great way to get to know each other. We will cater for any dietary requirements, please just let us know.

Talk - The talks are designed to engage and inspire conversation. They explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions from Who is Jesus? and How can we have faith? to Why and how do I pray? and How does God guide us?

Discussion - Probably the most important part of any Alpha: the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic, and simply discuss it in a small group. There's no obligation to say anything and there's nothing you can't say (seriously). It's an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.

If you're a member of All Saints and you might be able to provide a main or dessert for Alpha, please speak to Tom or Emily Robson.

If you're a christian and looking to try Alpha or go deeper in your faith, please get in touch as we would love to offer that.
