Confirmations March 2008

All Saints worshippers, Nicky Roberts and Jenny Tillman were among the 26 people confirmed on Sunday 2nd March, by the Bishop of Horsham.

The Confirmation service was held at Lyninster Parish Church - only a mile North of All Saints.

Jenny, now in her 50's had attended church in her younger days but, like many people, had drifted away. Over the past couple of years, Jenny felt God's call and enrolled on an Alpha Course at All Saints. Gradually she found her way into regular worship and to making a public committment in front of the Bishop and the congregation gathered in Lyminster.

Nicky is in her 20's. She is a mother of 2 children, with a third on the way. Nicky's husband Garry was confirmed in  October 2004 after meeting with God at their daughter's baptism on Easter Day. Nicky was not confirmed then because she wanted to be sure she had found a faith of her own. In search of a personal faith, Nicky did Alpha twice! Being pregnant for the 3rd time seemed to draw Nicky closer to the God who gives life.
