Prayer and Prayer Requests

An interesting statistic is that, although only a small percentage of our population go to church, a very large percentage pray. It has even been shown that if a certain part of our brain is stimulated electrically, we will have an experience that feels like meeting with God.

It seems as if God has made us in such a way that experiencing and knowing him is part of our biological make-up. Is it, then, any wonder that people instinctively turn to prayer. Something deep inside us just knows it is the thing to do.

But God is not a sort of celestial Father Christmas. We can't just call him up and order whatever we want. If we could we'd be like children in 'Toys R Us', wanting whatever was in our minds at the time. No, God made us and has a plan for our life. His answer to our prayer will always be what He knows we need, rather than what we want.

He loves each one of us, no matter how bad we are, but, to get the best out of prayer, we need to come as trusting children before a loving Father, who knows best.

If you would like prayer, for yourself or someone else you are very welcome at any of our services including our monthly healing service where a minister will be more than happy to pray with you , if you are unable to visit us then please fill in the Prayer Request below and we will pray for you for a week. Feel free to send more requests, and to tell us about answers to prayer.
