Children on Sunday
Jesus himself said, "Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these." Children are not the Church of the future, they are a vital part of the Church today. Each Sunday children take part in the worship but, some weeks, will go to their own activities during the sermon. They will return in time to receive a blessing at Communion time. Of course, some children are just too young for Sunday School. What do they do? Mostly they just run about. Very often the Vicar has an 'assistant preacher' as a toddler stands beside him copying what he does. Yes, this is appropriate in Church. Church is where all God's children - young and old - meet together as his family. God rejoices in children and so do we. If you are visiting us be assured that your children are very welcome. |
Children are a very important part of the Church family. We want them to enjoy coming to church and to grow up to know, love and trust in Jesus.
