Communion Services
After he had risen from the dead, two disciples met him on the road to Damascus. They did not recognise him until he took the bread, give thanks, broke it and give it to them. Even today as the church takes bread, gives thanks, breaks it and shares it, we believe that Jesus is here among us in a very special way. At All Saints we value Holy Communion very highly. We approach it with reverence and yet with joy and freedom. We do hope that you will feel able to share this holy meal with us. See Service Times for when these take place. |
When Jesus walked the earth he shared many meals with his friends. During the meal he would take the bread, give thanks, break it and give it to those around him. He did this at his Last Supper with his disciples. He told them to do the same thing often in remembrance of him.
