Healing Services
|
Every Week
Prayer for healing is available after every 10:00am service. Before the last hymn authorised ministers come forward for their hands to be anointed. Members of the congregation can then go for prayer at the altar rail immediately after the service.Monthly
On the Second Sunday of each month there is a time of prayer and laying on of hands immediately after distribution of Communion. The service continues with the blessing and final hymn after this ministry.
Why come for prayer?
People may come for themselves or, like many who went to Jesus, come on behalf on someone who is miles away. They can come because they are ill, or down in the dumps, or even to receive a fresh touch of God’s love. We all need one of these, so all can come without fear or shame.
Safety
Those who minister will keep anything said to them confidential and will not approach those who have been prayed for at a later time. They will minister humbly, knowing that their own need is also great. If they feel God giving them something like a word of encouragement, they will share it knowing that God, in His love for the person they are praying with, has entrusted something precious to them.
The healing ministry is, above all, a ministry of God’s healing love. It is gentle and safe. Do take the opportunity to come up and, by so doing, encourage others to do so.
