Carols & Songs

A playlist of Carols filmed at All Saints Church, Wick. Leave them playing for some Christmas music, or use the playlist icon to choose your favourite!

Here are some songs written by our musicians and recorded for this Christmas. They're not carols in the traditional sense, but one is written to bring real comfort and the other to bring joy out of a difficult year...

Joel says, 'I’m delighted to share with you ‘Merry Christmas (Wish You Were Here)’ written for my Nan, but actually for anyone perhaps treading this year ‘alone’ for the first time. I hope it finds you well, and in the way that you need to hear it. I wrote it in 2013, but it feels more poignant this year more than ever before. If you’re feeling lonely, apprehensive, scared, a mixture of feelings, or none, I hope that this song can give you a kind of hope that allows you to hang on in there. May this year remind us that Christmas, after all the trimmings, is ultimately about love.'

George and Jane wrote and recorded this song to a familiar tune to bring some joy to their granddaughter who is celebrating a major birthday around Christmas, when they weren't able to visit. So they wrote this to be played for her to bring some fun and joy to the celebrations.

George and Jane were also heavily involved in the production of Roger Jones' new musical, Three Wise Camels. Click on the link below to watch the preview, and the live premiere is on that Youtube channel on Friday 11th December and available to watch afterwards: Youtube/CMM
