Wick Hall Hire Information
£35 per session or £12 per hour
9am – 12.45pm
£45 per session or £15 per hour
Those who hire the hall at least once a month on an ongoing basis receive a 10% discount.
The prices include use of the kitchen and toilets, but these are shared between hirers of both halls.
A deposit of £20 (cash or cheque) is required for all Hall bookings. This will be returned when PCC are satisfied that the hall has been returned in the condition in which it was hired, and any key have been returned.
Your booking time includes setup and clear-up, please do not arrive early unless agreed in advance.
The hall has a number of bookings and we cannot guarantee that the day and time you would like will be available.
GENERAL CONDITIONS OF HIRE
Hirers are responsible for ensuring that the Hall, its fixtures and fittings (including the kitchen equipment) are left in a clean and tidy state. Any breakages will be charged for, and if any additional cleaning is required due to the condition in which the Hall is left, part or all of the hirers deposit may be forfeited. For regular Hirers – a charge will be put on the next month’s invoice. Anyone booking the Hall until 10pm must have cleaned up and left the Hall, quietly, by 10pm. Please note that Wick Hall has houses at the rear – please be sensitive to local residents. The electrical and heating systems in the hall must not be tampered with. If any alterations are required please use the contact details above. There is no smoking in Wick Hall or anywhere within the Hall grounds.
We have 6 car parking Spaces on a first come first serve basis with an extra disabled/loading bay.
TEMPORARY EVENTS NOTICE
The PCC of all Saint Wick may require that the hirer obtain a Temporary Events Licence at their own expense.
The hiring of the Hall(s) for children’s parties is restricted to the age limit of 11 years old. All persons hiring must be responsible for any children regarding health and safety. No alcohol is to be brought on to the premises for parties.
HEALTH AND SAFETY INCLUDING SAFEGUARDING
All hirers are responsible to undertake their own risk assessments, especially to cover the movement of chairs, tables and large equipment stored on the stage. Copies must be given to the hall manager. Copies of Wick Hall Management Risk Assessments are available on request. All regular hirers and event organisers must have their own public liability insurance and provide a copy. There is to be no use of BBQs or similar in or outside the premises of Wick Hall. Bouncy Castles may only be used (from hire companies who have public liability insurance) in the large Hall and not outside in the grounds. The use of the Playgroup sandpit is prohibited.
All regular hirers that involve work with children or potentially vulnerable adults must either subscribe to the PCC’s Safeguarding policies (available from www.allsaintswick.org.uk/policies) or provide a copy of their own Safeguarding policy. THIS IS A LEGAL REQUIREMENT. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN A CANCELLATION OF YOUR HIRE.
All hall hirers should only store food in the fridge during their session/sessions and take any leftovers with you. The hatch should be kept down unless the small hall is in use.
No paper work, bags or coats should be stored on the work top due to hygiene. Work tops should be wiped with anti-bacterial wipes. Hires should make sure the urn and kettle are empty and unplugged.
All portable electrical equipment brought onto the premises must be safe and have a Valid Portable Appliance Test (PAT) Certificate.
Main water stopcock. This is located under the sink in the kitchen a key to this is in the emergency cupboard.
The main gas supply box is situated outside the small hall in the back garden.
The electrical fuse box for the small hall is located in the lobby and the one for the large hall is on the left hand side of the stage near the curtains.
Please take your rubbish away with you and dispose of it at home. Brooms are stored on the stage and mops in the cleaning cupboard in the disabled toilet.
FIRE AND EVACUATION
Please carefully read the fire exit instructions, which you will find on the wall. Please make a note of where the fire extinguishers and fire exits are.
Please ensure that you have a mobile phone with you in case of emergencies. There is no phone in the hall.
The First Aid box is situated in the wall cupboard in the kitchen, which is labelled with the standard green and white sign. First Aid should only be administered by those holding an appropriate and current First Aid certificate. All accidents must also be recorded in the accident book that is found with the First Aid kit.
Lost property will be kept for one month and then disposed of or taken to the local charity shop if appropriate.
There is some storage available for regular hirers at the discretion of the PCC. However, the PCC cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to the property left in the Hall.
THE STAGE AREA
please note that the stage area is not included in the hall hire and is not for use.
You will be invoiced once a month. If you have to cancel please contact us at the above address as soon as possible. Payments receipts will be issued alongside invoices for the previous month.
PERIOD OF NOTICE
If for any reason regular Hall Hirers abuse these conditions/or do not keep up to date will hire payments then the PCC reserve the right to terminate any bookings with two months’ notice.
