September Update
There are some really exciting things coming up in the life of our Church family, but first a request...
Can you help with hall setup once a month?
A few people have offered but it would be lovely to have a few more. It is an early start - 8am, but a great service to each other. There is some lifting involved, but one person can help each week without any heavy lifting. Please reply to this email if you’d be happy to help.
Upcoming Events
Friday 21st September - Macmillan Coffee Morning, in All Saints from 9.30am to 1pm
Come and enjoy tea, coffee, pastries with a friendly group of people, all whilst supporting Macmillan. Also a great opportunity to invite a friend along, and a group that meets every week. Posters for this will be ready to pick up on Sunday to display or hand out. Please see Viv if you can supply cakes and tombola items can be put in the box in the hall or church.
Friday 21st September - Messy Church is back, from 3.15pm in All Saints
Wednesday 26th September-Thursday 4th October - Life Exhibition at the United Church, Littlehampton
An amazing, interactive exhibition for 800+ school children to discover who Jesus is, what he said and what he did. Volunteers needed for setup, pack down and to help during the days. Please email me if you might be able to help. There will also be a prayer meeting for all that's going on over that weekend, in the United Church at 7.30pm on Wednesday 26th.
Friday 28th - Saturday 29th September - Gift Art Trail at All Saints & Others
There are 9 churches taking part this year, why not drop into All Saints and go around the trail? More info coming soon to http://thegiftarts.co.uk/
Sunday 30th September - Jonathan Aitken, 4.30pm at St James Church
People have been responding very positively to this, and another excellent opportunity to invite someone to come and hear the difference Jesus makes. Jonathan will share his story, his faith and take questions.
Saturday 6th October - Outreach UK: Helped to share your faith, at Wick Hall
A number of us went on this day in February, with practical teaching on sharing our faith, thinking how to share your testimony and the option of taking a step of faith to head out and reach people in our community with God’s love.
Beginning on Wednesday evenings in October - Life Explored
A chance to hear and discuss the good news of Jesus... more info coming soon!
Evening Services
From October we will have services on the 1st and 3rd Sundays in All Saints. The PCC felt a slightly earlier time would be helpful so let's try 6.30pm (in line with the prayer meeting). The first Sunday will be a communion service, the 3rd Sunday I’d like to give an opportunity to respond to questions from previous sermons. There’s not always a chance to come back to a preacher on what they’ve said, so if you have a question about something please email me and (depending on number of questions) we'll cover it as a one-off talk on the 3rd Sunday evening.
