Mothering Sunday
Each year we use Mothering Sunday as an opportunity to thank God for all those who've helped raise, nurture and care for us. To honour our mums and also those who've had that role in our lives.
We also recognise that it can be a hard day for all sorts of reasons, and so we want everyone to know that they can share in the love and care of God, and our church family. This year is different of course, but we wanted to do something to bless people and give thanks to God for them.
On Saturday 13th March from 10am, we are making small bunches of flowers available for collection outside the Flower Shop on Wick High Street. (We're very grateful to Michelle and her team for their generosity and community-spirit). These are for anyone to take - one for yourself and one to give to someone, a mum or anyone you'd like to bless with a little gift of colour and life. They will be available outside the shop until they're all gone, please take a maximum of two so that as many as possible can share them.
One of our aims as a Church this year has been to say, 'we're here for Wick and we're here for you.'
